Deborah Ferguson's Salary, NBC 5

Deborah Ferguson became attracted to TV career after she watched a woman of color on TV doing news. After that, in her mind, the thought struck that if the woman can, then maybe she could too. With positive thinking, she worked hard to make her name in the field.

Upon Deborah's graduation, she began two internships at TCU. Her internships helped her to get her foot in the TV news door.

Then, she began her internship in the Channel 5 newsroom, but during that time, she was quite shy and had trouble putting herself out there and go out with reporters.

Eventually, Deborah overcame her fear and came out of her comfort zone to shine in front of the world. Initially, she stepped in the door of NBC 5 and became a co-anchor of NBC 5 Today weekday mornings.
