Alyssa Taglia is an American journalist currently working as a Traffic Reporter and News Reporter at WTNH-TV’s News 8. 

Additionally, she also serves on the board of Directors at SELF INC. and is also a member of the Miss America State Titleholders Association (MASTA).

She had also served as a goodwill ambassador for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in 2016.

A native of Connecticut, Alyssa was interested in art, especially dance and music, and social service from a young age.

Having a keen desire to social service, she volunteered her time to many charitable works continuing even today.

At the age of only 12, she founded Smiles for Seniors, a volunteer-driven program intended to work for the betterment of elderly people, specifically those in long-term facilities.

As a smart and talented person, she excelled in many competitions, including Miss Wolcott 2014 in her hometown organized by Miss Connecticut Organization. She also won the title of Miracle Maker 2013 and Miracle Maker 2016, where the most amounts of money were raised for Children’s Miracle Network.

She gained widespread recognition when she was crowned Miss Connecticut 2016, representing her hometown, where she featured her talent in tap dance.

In the following year in 2017, she participated in 2017 Miss America Pageant live on ABC representing her home state.  

Talking about her education, she attended Cheshire High School from 2007 to 2011. Then she joined Point Park University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated Cum Laude in 2014.

After becoming Miss Connecticut, she developed an interest in journalism and attended New York Film Academy’s Broadcast Journalism certificate program with a full scholarship.

Alyssa Taglia is not married as of 2019.

However, she is in a relationship with her boyfriend, Matt Munson. Though the pair has not provided any official information on their relationship, they have openly shared their romantic vibes through their social media posts.
