She began her culinary journey as a pastry assistant in L.A., where her abilities were well-recognized. She was able to win the Quady’s Four-Star Pastry Competition when she was just nineteen.  

At twenty, she went on to become a sous chef at Chef Michael McCarty’s restaurant.
