They later got separated in 2007 after Jeanine accused him of having an extramarital affair. Their divorce was finalized in 2013 Together, they have two grown-up children, a daughter, and the son.

In 2000, Mr.Pirro was convicted on 34 counts of conspiracy, tax evasion and filing false returns. Along with him his brother Anthony, an accountant was also sentenced. The court sentenced him 11 months in federal prison and he had to pay high fines. Despite all of the controversies, his then-wife Jeanine remained beside him during and after the scandal escalated. She served Westchester Country Court till 2005 and started her political career as Republican.
