Yasmine Akram is an Irish actress and comedian famed for her outstanding performances in several TV shows and movies.
She performed amazingly in TV series like The Centre in 2014, Stella from 2014 to 2015, Undercover in 2015, Sherlock from 2014 to 2016, Outsiders in 2016, and The Reluctant Method in 2018.
Apart from acting in TV shows, she has also excelled in several hit movies.

Yasmine Akram was born on 11th March 1982 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. She grew up in Drogheda, Ireland, with her family.
The 37-year-old comedian’s father was originally from Pakistan, whereas her mother was from Ireland. So Jasmine holds Irish-Pakistani nationality and embraces Asian-White ethnicity.

Yasmine’s parents met in Manchester for the first time and later got married. They moved to the UAE, where they lived together for a short time.
Her parents got divorced when she was just 18 months old. So, her mother moved along with her elder sister, Masooma Akram, to Drogheda, Ireland, where her single mother raised her.
Yasmine, now standing at the height of 5 feet and 8 inches (1.73 meters), was fascinated by Irish comedian and actor Dylan Moran from childhood.
She always imagined becoming a female version of him. So at the age of just fourteen, she began working with Calipo Theatre, Picture Company, and Droichead Youth Theatre.
Furthermore, she decided to pursue acting academically also and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated with a degree in acting.
After her graduation, she began writing and performing comedies.
Eventually, she started the comedy duo, Ford and Akram, with her friend, Louise Ford. Since then, she began elevating in her career and never turned back.
