Jesse was born on 28 May 1979 to his actor parents, Terry Porter and Curtis Watrouse. Jesse is the only child of his parents in the family.
His mother has also appeared in one of Jesse movie portraying as his character's mother in Hackers.
As per his education, Jesse, who stands at the height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 meters), graduated from Brien McMahon High School. Later, he attended Columbia University graduating in 2002 with a degree in Film.
