Shawn Yancy is an American journalist currently working with WTTG-TV’s FOX 5 News in Washington, D.C., as a news anchor since 2001. 

In her longtime career with FOX 5, she has been awarded Edward R. Murrow Award in 2007 for an investigative series on asbestos at The National Institutes of Health and also an Emmy for ‘Outstanding News Anchor’ in 2006. 

She is also the owner and artist at an art and design firm, Shawn Yancy Art & Design.

She is also the founder of Girls Night Out by Shawn Fancy, an organization to empower and promote the well being of women and children.
