Jessi Cruickshank was born as Jessica Shaia Cruickshank on 17th July 1981, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She attended Point Grey Secondary School in Vancouver. She also studied theatre in London, England, and graduated from the prestigious University of Toronto with a degree in English and Drama.

Jessi's mother named Joyce Resin is a former host of CBC’s show, Alive: The Picture of Health, whereas her elder sister named Amanda Grace works as a reporter and anchor at KING-TV in Seattle.
Married To Husband
Jessi Cruickshank is married to Evan Gatica (m. 2016), who is an editor and producer known for his work in TV series like The Face, Masterchef, The Boonies, and Battlebots.
The couple’s love story began when Jessi was in New York to work on her audition tape for MTV’s host. There, she met Evan at the production company’s office, who used to work there as an editor. Evan lent her a camera for an hour to shoot her video in Times Square and also helped to edit the video.
Shortly after a few days, Jessi got the job at MTV and went to Evan’s office to give him a $10 iTunes gift card. There, Evan asked her for a dinner, and they went to a little restaurant in the Lower East Side, which was their first date.

Finally, after nine years of relationship, they tied the knot on 28th June 2016 at Big Daddy’s Antiques, a warehouse in Los Angeles filled with stunning vintage furniture and old light up signs. On the wedding day, Jessi wore a stunning backless dress with vintage metal paillettes, custom-designed by Mark Zunino.
Twins
After three years of marriage, Jessi Cruickshank announced in August 2017 that she is having twins with her husband, Evan Gatica.

However, she was told that her Monochorionic identical twins were at risk for developing Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), a medical condition where the placenta develops abnormal connections disrupting the equal flow of blood and nutrients in between twins.
But after successful surgery, the condition was cured, and she welcomed her twins in September 2017.
