Jeff Michael [KCLA9] Bio Unveils Age, Married Life, Family Details

KCAL9’s anchor Jeff Michael was born on 20 March in Sacramento, California as per his bio. While he has chosen to keep his age in the shadows, it is known that he graduated from the University of California, Davis.

He began his journalism career at KRNV-TV in Reno. After two years, he went to anchor and report for WRIC-TV in Virginia. That was when the anchor experienced his first hurricanes, as he covered major Southeast storms. He also traveled often to Washington D.C. to report from the White House.

Then he went for his major news market in Miami, Florida. Meanwhile, drug trades and racial tensions were rising to the peak. So, he got to cover the 1989 race riots and drug busts in Miami. Those international stories took him to Mexico and Panama where he covered the US removal of Panamanian dictator, Manuel Noriega.

The first time Jeff made himself known in Los Angeles was in 1990. He was a crime reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. While he was working in ABC, he won the first two Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards. In fact, he was even named Weekend Anchor at Channel 7 during his eight years of time in the network.

The anchor soon left for Fox 11 where he contributed for 18 long years. After that, he joined CBS’s KCAL9 in January 2017 as the co-anchor. He serves in the network as the co-anchor of CBS2 This Morning weekdays, and the CBS2 11 AM News alongside Sharon Tay. And from his job at the KCAL9, Jeff earns an average salary ranging from $60,000 to $176,166.

Jeff is not a fan of flaunting his married life with his wife, Joanne Michael. But, it is a different story when it comes to his children as he holds back nothing to show-off his children. He is a proud father of three children: two sons, Tom and Ryan, and a daughter named Emily. Whether it is his daughter's graduation or special occasions, Jeff doesn’t hesitate to share the family moments on his social media sites.

His son, Tom, even got engaged on 9 September 2015. It was his wife, who shared the big news via her Instagram. But his family doesn’t limit to just his wife and children for Jeff.

He loves his parents equally and makes no exception to post pictures with them as well. In fact, he shared a photo of his father on his Instagram on 13 April 2018 and wished him a warm 97th birthday. He also expressed his pride in how his father was still going strong at an escalating age. All things said and done; Jeff proves himself as an endearing family man.
