During the time George and Vanna both were in a relationship. George was in an on-and-off relationship of more than three years with the American actress Linda Evans while Vanna was engaged to John Gibson.
But sadly, Vanna's fiance John Gibson died in a plane crash in 1986 and George accompanied Vanna in the dark time. His affection and love made Vanna fall for him as well, and they started dating.
