Dorsena Drakeford is an anchor and reporter at WKYC of Cleveland. She specializes in general assignment reporting. In the initiation of her career, Dorsena contributed to KTXS Television in Abilene, Texas, where she took the role of a production assistant.
She was quick to learn the depths of the industry in merely six months. Reporting was the dominant start for her career. She did reporting on weekends at first, and she found her passion for the criminal justice system.
After completing her two years as the crime and courts reporter, Dorsena moved on to broaden her career. She headed to Cedar Rapids, which came out as one of the most exciting places to live for her. There, she worked at KGAN/KFXA as a crime reporter for over two years.
The reporter got the chance to cover stories that broke internationally. She then received several regional awards and discovered the true meaning of the cultural label, ‘Iowa nice.’ And when WKYC called, Dorsena wasted no time to embrace the opportunity to stay in the Midwest and work along with Michael Estime.

When it comes to her married life, Dorsena loves to share the lovely moments she spends with her husband. And, why wouldn’t she? She has chosen a husband just like her father; her husband serves in the military. He was even nominated for Maintenance Professional of the Year in 2014.

On their anniversary on 16 June 2014, Dorsena wished her husband on Twitter, and she left all the sweet words saying,
Happy Anniversary to my hubby! I appreciate your unconditional love… God knew what He was doing when He paired us up.
Her words are enough to suggest that she is enjoying a more than happy married life. Dorsena doesn’t have children with her husband yet. But, she does share two furry kids as a family; a white Great Pyrenees named Blanco and a Newfoundland Poodle named Mars. She often shares pictures of her four-legged children on her Instagram.

Dorsena was born on 1 June 1989 in New York City. At the age of 29, she embraces the nationality of an American. Her bio suggests that she traveled around different places with her father, who was in the Army for 22 long years.

She had the chance to witness different parts of three different countries with her father. The reporter has even confessed that she wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything.

Her younger sister is a veterinarian, who lives in Las Vegas. Her parents have settled down in Georgia. And Dorsena is more than happy to show-off her family on her social media sites.
For education, Dorsena attended the Valdosta State University Blazers in Valdosta and graduated with her Journalism degree. Her family was the most amazing support system throughout her career.
