Brian Monahan, a renowned meteorologist who has been with WSB-TV since 2014, is the face many people wake up to. The TV personality is on top of his professional game and is quite popular among his viewers; however, he is reserved about his personal life. 

Brian Monahan’s Personal Details

The Philadelphia native was raised in New Jersey. Although the accurate information on his age is yet unknown, it’s known that he celebrates his birthday on December 5. 

Brought up in a closely bonded family, he shares a close relationship with his parents, who live in Florida. Though their names remain unknown, Monahan occasionally shares his parent’s pictures on his Instagram.

As for his education, he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in meteorology from Penn State University and began his career in television while he was still in college.

Monahan considers himself one of the lucky ones to find his passion early and have a job that he loves. The meteorologist found his interest at the mere age of ten when he woke up early at six to watch news and weather forecast. 

Pursuing a career in meteorology, he worked in places such as Pennsylvania, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Seattle. After leaving his work in Seattle, Monahan took his job at WSB-TV Channel 2 as a weekend meteorologist in 2014.

Being part of the severe weather coverage at the station, he has covered some serious weather conditions in north Georgia and Boston’s historic winter storms in 2015.

Likewise, he is also known for covering the Florida coast hurricane, historic flooding at Houston, Hurricane Florence in North Carolina, etc. 

In 2019, after leaving the former network as a meteorologist, Monahan became the weatherman for the morning show Action News This Morning on Channel 2. 

Further, Monahan, who currently resides in Atlanta with his two pet dogs, is entitled to a hefty net worth of 1 million dollars and assumably earns an annual salary of over 50 thousand dollars.
