She joined the channel in March 2013. Since then, she has been forecasting weather on NBC’s News4, NBCWashington.com, and 103.5 WTOP Radio.

She had previously worked for CNET in Pennsylvania, WJET/WFXP, as a weekend meteorologist in Erie and at WIVB-WNLO in Buffalo.

While sporting and studying at Middletown High School in her hometown, she never thought of finding a career in weather forecasting.

Additionally, in high school, she was good at maths and sciences. 

However, after graduating from high school in 2004, she somehow thought of getting a college education in meteorology and enrolled at Penn State University from where she graduated with a degree in Meteorology.

Amelia Draper is happily married to Matthew (Matt) Draper. The couple shared their vows in a wedding ceremony on 7th May 2016. 

Though she has not disclosed many details about her husband, she revealed that she was excited to start a new married life with her best friend on a tweet dated 11th May 2016. 

Apart from this, she is never found talking about her married life and wedding details. In her social media posts also she has left no detailed information.
