Professional golf player Nick Faldo has made a remarkable note in the field of sports with his outstanding golf playing skills. He belongs to the list of celebrities, who have added multiple awards and achievements to their career; being one of the top golf players as well.
But, unlike his prosperous career, Nick's personal life has been through many hoops and hurdles.
Nick Faldo’s Bio
Born in 1957 in Hertfordshire, England, Nick celebrates his birthday every 18 July and holds English nationality.
From the age of 14, Nick was genuinely interested in golf and was profoundly influenced by the former golfer, Jack Nicklaus. Though Nick never got picked up by a golf club, his passion led him to be a professional golf player at the age of 19.
For his academics, Nick attended the University of Houston.
Nick's Net Worth
Nick decided to turn his career as a golf player after he became a winner for the English Amateur and the British Youth Championship in 1975.
Soon, he was noticed by the United States due to which he received a full scholarship at his university. But, after attending classes for ten weeks, he left his school in the thought that it would impact his professional life.
So, moving forward with his career, Nick initiated his professional life in 1976 joining the European Professional Golfer Association. His hard work and dedication paid off very soon after Nick won a European Tour event in 1977; receiving the title of then-youngest Ryder Cup.
Starting his career with a glorious victory, Nick mostly won the major championships in Europe and earned the name of the best golf player in the world in 1990.
Well, his career limited not only to sports but also in media as Nick has been serving as a leading golf analyst for more than a decade. As a golf analyst like Frank Nobilo, Nick is estimated to earn a salary of 67K dollars. On top of that, he has even amassed a wealthy net worth of 60 million dollars.
Nick Faldo Married, Divorce
Well, the 61-year-old Nick seems to be unlucky when it comes to his married life as he has been through three broken marriages.
He first got married to Melanie Rockwell in 1979 at the age of 21. But his marital voyage could not last more than five years as Melanie discovered an affair of Nick with his manager’s secretary Gill Bennett.

Ending his relationship with the first wife, Nick tied the wedding knots with his girlfriend, Gill in 1986. He even welcomed three children with her; Natalie, Matthew, and Georgia. But his marriage with Gill also could not flourish as Nick started dating a golf student, Brenna Cepelak. The divorce with Gill cost him £7million.
After dating Brenna, for three years, Nick parted ways with her when he started seeing Swiss PR consultant, Valerie Bercher. With agony and anger, Brenna asked for a million dollar for the time she spent with Nick and later finally settled for a quarter.
Meanwhile, Valerie was engaged to Olivier Delaloye but, she left her fiance for Nick. The pair got married in 2001 via a lavish wedding in Windsor and welcomed their first daughter Emma in July 2003. Valerie was immensely dedicated to her family as she even left her work for the upbringing of their daughter.
Though Nick gushed about Valerie as his one, their married life eventually came to an end in 2006 with a divorce settlement of £15million.
As of now, he is speculated to be unmarried who is relishing his singlehood. From his marriage history, it is clear that Nick could stick to his professional life for more than three decades but could not last with a wife forever.
