Family Details & Height

Mykayla stands tall with a height of 5 feet (1.52 meters) and has a weight of 52 kgs. 

She was born to Cris and Kym Skinner on 9th December 1986, in Gilbert Arizona, United States. She was raised along with her two sisters and an elder brother, Chelsea, Katie, and Jeremy, respectively.

While growing up, Mykayla was fascinated to see her sisters perform as gymnasts and soon developed an interest in the sport. 

Interestingly, all of her siblings are married and have kids now. 

Is Mykayla Skinner Married?

Yes, the American gymnast is happily married to her long-time boyfriend, Jonas Harmer.

The couple tied the knot on 14th November 2019. The pair went to Thailand for their honeymoon.

To begin with, the pair first met each other through their mutual friends when they were at college. 

However, the duo soon realized they could make a perfect match. But Mykayla took all ten months to be Jonas' girlfriend by saying yes to him. 

Although when the lovebirds started dating, they managed to keep a low profile as Mykayla didn't want the world to know about it before they got engaged.

Additionally, she feared the idea of maintaining a long-distance relationship because of her busy schedule. 

Gymnastic Career

The athlete started her career in gymnastics back in 2011 as a junior gymnast and surprisingly was named to the junior US National Team after finishing tenth in all the round and second on Vault at the National Championship.

Thus, the achievement carved her path to higher success; she became a member of the U.S senior national team in 2012. The same year, with her new team, she lifted the City of Jesolo Trophy.

Meanwhile, Mykayla was also attending the University of Utah. She signed the National Letter of Intent for the University and got recruited in November 2014 to fill gaps left by her senior athletes after their graduation from the University.

As of 2019, she is preparing for the 2020 Olympics that is going to be held in Tokyo, Japan.
