Multi-talented personality Danny Kanell was born on 21 November 1973, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to father Dan Kanell and mother Diane Kanell. He shared his childhood with three siblings, namely Daryl, Debbie, and Dana. Danny grew up in his hometown of Florida with his family.
Kanell joined Florida State University, where he played Football for four years as a quarterback. Danny played outstandingly during his college career which paved an excellent path for him to develop a career in professional football.
Thanks to his tremendous performance, Kanell was drafted by New York Giants in the NFL Draft in 1996. After occasionally appearing in the first season, Danny became the starter and played handful amount of games in the 1997 season. His commanding performance guided the Giants to grab the NFC Eastern Division title.
After playing with the Giants for two years, Kanell joined Atlanta Falcons. He gave a convincing performance with the Falcons from 1999 to 2000.
