LaTavia Roberson, along with Beyonce Knowles, LeToya Luckett, and Kelendria Rowland, formed the urban R&B group Destiny's Child during the 1990s. Beyonce's father became the manager of the group who was set to make the quartet success. Soon the quartet earned a lot of local fans with their street cool image and impressive vocal harmonies.
Then in 1997, they were signed to Columbia Records and released their breakthrough track, Killing Time, which appeared on The Men In Black soundtrack. In 1998, they released their self-titled debut album featuring collaborations with leading R&B/hip-hop producers Timbaland, R. Kelly, and Wyclef Jean. The album's single No No No reached both the US and UK Top 10 followed by other hits like With Me and Get On The Bus.
However, due to personal problems, LaTivia Roberson and LeToya Luckett were replaced by the group and added Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams.
