Daniel Seavey is an American singer best known for being one of the five members of the popular band, Why Don’t We. He is also known for his appearance in the fourteenth season of the singing talent show, American Idol.
Until today, he has collaborated with his band in many EP’s like Only the Beginning (2016), Invitation (2017), and 8 Letters album in 2018. He has also released singles like Big Plans, Cold in LA, and Come to Brazil.

Daniel Seavey was born on 2nd April 1999 in Vancouver, Washington, USA, to father Jeffrey Seavey and mother, Keri Seavey.
His father served as a pastor at Living Water Community Church, and his mother worked as a blog writer and a biblical counselor.
He has three siblings; two older brothers, Tyler Seavey, born on 5th September 1994, and Christian Seavey, born on 28th March 1997 and a younger sister named Anna Grace Seavey, born on 6th March 2001.

His brother, Christian, is an actor and has appeared in various theatrical productions and short films like Caesura, Cold Tracks, and Hundred Proof. His sister, Anna, is also famous for her Youtube channel, AnnaSeavey, and for posting selfies and lifestyle photos in her Instagram account with more than 320 thousand followers.
He attended the Union High School in his hometown, Vancouver, and graduated in 2017.

Career In Music
Daniel Seavey began learning music at the age of seven and was introduced to several musical instruments, including guitar, violin, cello, mandolin, and piano at a young age. As a child, he used to travel with his father to Portland to play music on the streets for art walks.
When he was in high school, he competed in the 14th season of the American Idol when he was just fifteen-year-old. For the show’s audition in San Francisco, he had sung Paula Abdul’s Straight Up and Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. He was placed in the 9th position and also earned prominence for his talent at such a young age.
After the show, he began his own Youtube channel and also made a cameo in Jax’s music video for her song ‘La La Land.’ In 2016, he became a member of the band Why Don’t We, formed on 27th September 2016, along with four other young singers. The band’s first EP Only the Beginning was released on 25th November 2016, and the second titled Something Different in April 2017.
As of now, the band has gained popularity across the nations and has released several EPs and a studio album titled 8 Letters.
On a tweet dated 1st January 2019, Daniel Seavey wrote that he was getting surgery on 3rd January 2019 for his voice. Later, he revealed that the surgery was successful.
He has a tattoo of an infinity symbol on his right hand. Additionally, on the inside of his wrist, he has four tattoos; the Dwennimmen (or Ram’s horns, which is an Adinkra symbol of humility and strength), a tree, a tally mark, and a palm tree.
After returning from American Idol, he struggled with depression since he was provoked by his classmates, reminding him of being back to where he started.
