In Yu's career, he has collaborated with commercial directors for Aetna, Gateway, and Samsung. He has also given his contribution to national-wildlife conservation research with the National Geographic research group.
However, to heighten his career, Yu has not only seen success but has also been accused of indulging in inappropriate acts in the past.
In 2018, model Kate Upton accused fashion designer Paul Marciano of sexually harassing. In her defense, Yu added that Marciano grabbed Kate's breasts.
But Marciano immediately backed away after a prominent male model addressed Yu as a hypocrite and claimed that Yu sexually assaulted him in July 2012. The model further explained that Yu slapped him on his butt in the act of sexual aggression.

Yu was born in Taiwan to a Chinese father from mainland China and a Taiwanese native mother. Yu spent his childhood in Taipei and later, his family moved to a farm in Indiana.
When Yu hit his adolescent period, his family relocated to Chino, California.
The American photographer possesses Asian ethnicity and celebrates his birthday every 17th May.
For his high school education, Yu attended Don Antonio Lugo High School. In his high school, he was a member of the Future Farmers of America and the track team.
