His family ran and owned a business. Justin also started as a part-time in 2016, for his father at Innocept Real Estate and Development and ended up turning to a full-time job. Before this, he also founded Scrub Captain Boating Detailing and Apparel.
Growing up, he went to the National Sport School. While in there, until he was sixteen, he played rugby and racing boardercross on the Canadian national team. Later, he chose to pursue snowboarding because of his dream to make it to the Olympics. He traveled the world snowboarding– Europe, Argentina, all over Chile, North and South America.
