Gino Anthony Pesi is an actor, producer, writer and director best recognized for his role as assistant district attorney ‘James Nava’- the 64th Precinct's new ADA who becomes romantically involved with Jennifer Lopez’s character, Harlee, in the NBC’s police procedural American drama, Shades of Blue.

Gino, age 38, was born to his mother, Regina (Pesi) Mensch Abel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Magee-Women's hospital. He holds American nationality, inheriting three-quarters Italian and one-quarter Croatian ethnicity from his parents.
At some point in his life, Gino went through a terrible medical issue. He faced severe health declining symptoms for five years.
He consulted five different medical professionals, but all of them told him that the symptoms were of old age, and the irony was that he happened to be only 32 at that time.
Nonetheless, he didn't give up and decided to get in-depth to his mysterious illness that caused weight gain and depression.
Eventually, he came to know that he had a tumor in the pituitary which had caused him a disease called acromegaly.
So, after going through the neurosurgery, he lost a total of hundred pounds and gradually walked away with a life-changing experience.
