Wendi Nix was married to former Boston Red Sox general manager, Ben Cherington. However, the pair couldn’t continue their after-marriage voyage for long. In 2010, the former confirmed her divorce with Ben; however, the actual reason for split remains concealed.

The reports claim Wendi and Ben first met at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The couple fell in love and eventually decided to hold each other’s hand forever. 

After her failed marriage with Ben, Wendi came into limelight because of her mysterious tweets that referred to the unknown husband. On 21 December 2015, Nix tweeted she was never going to speak with her husband again. However, she didn’t mention who he was.

Later, on 15 February 2016, Wendi posed a question on her Twitter whether there was any flag to throw at her husband for his language during the game. From this many assumed her new husband was a sportsperson or somewhat related to the field.

Meanwhile, Wendi had posted a status on her Twitter back on 20 January 2015 quoting, ''Happy Birthday Joe Ritchie! We love you! #RitchieFamily", which could be concluded as her husband name was Joe Ritchie

There is no clear evidence whether Wendi Nix is divorced again or dating a new boyfriend. She has kept her personal life confined for a while.

Wendi Nix, 43, was born on 17 September 1974, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Wendi’s father, Wayne Nix was reportedly a school and college level football coach.

Wendi was interested in sports in her school days. When she joined Socastee High School in South Carolina, Nix participated in school level games. Wendi’s parents attended her school games when her father quit coaching.

Following her high school graduation, Nix received a degree in French and Economics from the Wofford College, Spartanburg in 1996. Subsequently, in 1997, Wendi completed her Master’s degree in Sports Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Nix was interested in playing golf during her college days. She was the president of the student body and captain of the golf team at Wofford College.

Before joining ESPN in 2006, Wendi was associated with WHDH-TV in Boston for three years starting from 2003. Wendi worked as a sports anchor and reporter for WHDH. Prior to that, Nix served as a national reporter for FOX Sports and as an anchor/reporter for FOXSports New England
