Mike Barnicle’s Family

The journalist tied his knot with Anna Finucane, an American banker and vice-chair of Bank of America, who has been in the banking industry since 1995.

Both exchanged their wedding vows in 1982 in a private wedding ceremony. The duo lives in Lincoln, Massachusetts, and shares four children, three being from Barnicle’s previous marriage.

However, it is unknown who his first wife was, but he is a proud father to his children. On April 9, 2021, Barnicle talked proudly about his sons, Colin and Nick, on Morning Joe, where he mentioned their work in a Netflix show This Is A Robbery and said,

I’ve been stunned to realize at this late stage of my life that my children have much more discipline and reportorial skills than I ever had.

Barnicle’s Career and Net Worth

As a columnist, he provides readers with trenchant and poignant columns and has contributed to Boston Globe Media, Chronicle on WCVB-TV, New York Daily News, WTKK-FM 96.9 FM, and Boston Herald over the years.

However, when his name was slowly rising to fame and success, he accused of plagiarism while at Boston Globe Media. He was suspended after the editors could not confirm the existence of two cancer-stricken boys, which Barnicle wrote about in a moving 1995 column.

Later, the journalist was suspended for a month after acknowledging that he had never spoken to either of the cancer victim's families, and he eventually resigned from his post in 1998.

Nevertheless, Mike's dedication and positivity got him to the position where he stands now, accumulating the approximate net worth of 8 million dollars as per a source.
