Since 2017, Katie has been working as a legal contributor for NBC News and MSNBC. But before working for MSNBC and NBC News, she worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami and for Litigation Skills Program at the School of Law.
She was even the founding partner of Arrastia, Capote, and Phang, LLP from 2012 to 2014. And now, since 2015, she has also been working as a partner of Berger Singerman LLP.

Katie Phang’s date of birth reveals that she was born on 1 August 1975.
Talking about her parents, her father entered the United States at the age of 19 with $2.43 in his pocket from Seoul, South Korea. After arriving at the US, he completed his bachelor’s, masters and even Ph.D. in Engineering.
As for her education, the American-Asian nationality holder graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School. Katie then went on to obtain a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Yale University and a Law degree from the University of Miami.

After graduating with a degree in Law, Katie became a prosecutor in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. She deemed it the most rewarding job even though it was the least paying job she ever had.
Sadly, on 16 June 2019, Katie's father passed away on Father's day. She described her father as brilliant, generous, and feisty with an incomparable smile.

She considers herself as daddy’s little girl just like many daughters in the world would and points that he will always be her daddy.

Coming from a Law background, Katie married Jonathan Feldman, who also has a degree in Law.
Her husband’s practice areas include litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring, commercial litigation, asset protection, and complex collection litigation, D&O, financial institution and professional malpractice litigation, and court-appointed fiduciary representation.

Jonathan is a partner in the litigation practice with the firm, so he focuses his practice mostly on financial services litigation, professional malpractice litigation, bankruptcy, and bankruptcy litigation.

The couple has a daughter named Charlotte, who is a wildly off-the-charts smart.
As working parents, Katie and her husband manage to balance their career and their roles as parents with each other’s help and help from their family, supportive and understanding co-workers, and their friends.
Both Katie and her husband are at great heights of success in their careers; therefore, they have a busy professional life, but they keep working hard to maintain balance with their personal life.
