Indian-Australian MTV VJ Anusha Dandekar is best known as a VJ and a host who has hosted several shows. At the age of 19, to experience new adventure and pursue her career in the entertainment industry, she relocated to Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Initially, Anusha started as an anchor in MTV's House of Style. Soon, alongside her previous show, she began hosting MTV Dance Crew, MTV Teen Diva, MTV News, and MTV Love School.
Alongside her hosting career, she also made an acting debut in the Bollywood films, Mumbai Matinee, and Virudha, alongside Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sharmila Tagore, and John Abraham. Because of her performance in the movie Viruddh, Anusha even won the best debut award.
Eventually, while reaching the height of success, Anusha involved herself in a different field. She also made her music debut with the single, Better Than Your Ex, in the English language.
The fashion diva has also graced the covers of Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Seventeen. Besides her modeling career, she has also endorsed the brands, Reebok, Toni & Guy, Crocs, and Lee Jeans.
Currently, she can be seen as one of the judges and mentor on the show, India's Next Top Model.
While talking about her accolades and honors, Anusha has won Best VJ at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Awards and has even been named in Femina's List of 50 Most Beautiful Women in India.

Previously, Anusha dated a guy named Gaurav, an employee of the finance industry in Dubai. But she never gave vast information about him. However, they eventually broke-up due to some unknown reason.

In Khartoum, Sudan, Anusha was born to Marathi parents Shashidhar and Sulabha Dandekar on 9 January 1982. After her birth, her family moved back to India for a year, followed by London for two years before finally settling to Australia.
Holding American nationality, Anusha embraces Marathi ethnicity.
While talking about her education, she has not given specific details about her college or school. But, she went to Kindergarten in Australia, where she was made fun of her skin color, and the kids called her milk chocolate.
