Linda Blair is a child model-turned-actress, who began her career at a very young age of five. Throughout her career, the actress was involved in big controversies bought into her life due to her immense success and fame. 

Linda now runs the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected and abandoned animals.

Linda Blair was born on 22nd January 1959 in St. Louis, a major independent city in the U.S. state of Missouri. Her family moved to Westport, Connecticut when she was two years of age. 

Her mother, Elinore, was a real estate agent, and her father, James, was an executive headhunter. Her parents raised her alongside her brother, Jimmy, and her sister, Debbie.

Furthermore, the actress stands at an average height of 5 feet 2 inches (1.57 meters). 

Linda began her career in the entertainment industry from the age of five as a child model and an actress. She was chosen out of 600 applicants for the role of Regan, the possessed child, in The Exorcist

She rose to international fame and won the Golden Globe. She was set to make it big in the industry until it was revealed that she did not perform some very significant parts in the movie. This was the first blow to her A-list career. 

For a few years after that, she continued her work as a lead in several movies, including the highly successful movies, Born Innocent and Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic. She also played in the sequel of Exorcist, Exorcist 2: The Heretic.

However, the second blow to her career was very hard. The actress was peer pressured into buying cocaine at the age of eighteen, which led to an arrest and sentencing to three years probation. This incident got a lot of attention, leading Linda to be blacklisted in Hollywood.

Later, her career reduced to B-movies and some occasional TV appearances. But Linda didn’t give up and continued her excellent work in acting. 

Linda Blair Married To Husband / Boyfriend, Children?

The famous 80s actress Linda Blair was romantically involved with the renowned singer and songwriter, Rick Springfield in 1980s. She confessed that the relationship went down the hill because of Rick’s cocaine habit. 

Linda fell for Rick when she was twenty-two after spotting his picture in a magazine. Not openly accepting their romance, the couple often claimed it as friendship but later admitted they had been dating for two years.

Rick even wrote his hit song, Cold Blooded, explaining his relationship with the actress. Rick revealed that Linda had been pregnant by him and had an abortion without his knowledge. 

However, the couple split up since Rick got involved in drug problems so hard that he couldn’t get over it. 

The singer died on 6th August 2004 in Los Angeles, California, the USA due to a heart attack.

Linda had already moved on with her life before the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend. She found love with Wings Hauser, a veteran of big-screen who played his roles in Rubber and The Insider

The two got close when Linda started nurturing Wings when he discovered he had to treat a lump in his chest, which was found not severe.

But due to their colliding personality, the couple parted their ways. But before meeting Wings, she also dated Glenn Hughes, bassist of Deep Purple and Tommy Shaw, guitarist of Styx.

As of now, Linda is not married and doesn’t have any children.

But, in an interview with people.com on 11th July 1977, Linda mentioned she wanted to get married after twenty-five and start a family with her husband and have two or three children.
