Jenny was born as Jenny Alexis Ryan on 2 April 1982 in Lancashire, Manchester, England and is of 36 years of age. She is also known by her nicknames; The Bolton Brainiac for the place of her residence; and also by 'The Vixen,' in reference to her red hair.

Jenny, who grew up in Horwich, belongs to the family of eager quizzers. All the members of her family like to quiz, however, her main inspiration was from her grandfather, Kevin Ryan.

Being a law student, Jenny helped her University of Leeds team reach the semi-final of the University Challenge in 2003. Though Jenny has not revealed the identity of her parents, she often tweets about her family.

Standing at the tall height of 5’7’’ (1.73m), Jenny started her quizzing career by writing questions for the Chase pilot in 2009. However, she didn't make her debut on the show, The Chase until 2015.

Prior to that, Jenny appeared on Channel 4’ British general knowledge quiz show, Fifteen to One and BBC’s British television quiz show, The Weakest Link.
