Daryn Kagan was romantically involved with Rush Limbaugh, a radio talk show host, but the affair lasted only for two years. They ended up parting ways in February 2006. Daryn’s love life wasn’t easy. She had to wait long before she met the man of her dreams aka Tent Swanson. Daryn met Trent, also known as Mr. Summerfest, in a  Summer Festival in 2011. When the couple first met, Trent was a single father raising his 12-year-old daughter since his wife died when she was just 8. Daryn also had adopted a daughter from the Big Brother/Big Sister Show. These two single parents ended up falling for each other. After dating for some time, they decided to get married on 16 September 2012. The wedding ceremony was held by the waterfall in North Carolina in the presence of their two daughters and a photographer.

Daryn A. Kagan was born on January 26, 1963, in Santa Barbara, California in a secular Jewish family. Her parents got divorced when she was young, so she started living with her father who was an insurance agent. She has an older brother named Mark and a younger sister named Kallan. Daryn was an athlete on the track team at her high school. She graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1981. Daryn then attended Stanford University for her Bachelor’s Degree and graduated in 1985.

After graduating from Stanford University, Daryn was hired for an on-air job at a television station `KEYT-TV` at Santa Barbara. She also started reporting weekend sports news and anchoring the sports news for the channel.

After applying for CNN in 1994, Daryn got hired there as a sports anchor and correspondent. Daryn later got hired by CNN's news division, where she became the main CNN news anchor and correspondent. Kagan broadcasted live on air during the terrorist attacks on the morning of September 11, 2001. Daryn has worked as a news anchor for CNN from 1994 to 2006. She also worked as the host of the CNN People magazine news entertainment program `People in the News.` Daryn served as an anchor and CNN sports reporter. She left CNN in 2006 and launched her website DarynKagan.com.

Daryn`s CNN projects have been honored with different awards including the Gracie Award for Outstanding Documentary for her film `Breaking the Curse` in 2008. Daryn also produced and narrated the film, which told the present day story of an American woman fighting for those living with the disease leprosy in India. Her first book named `What's Possible! ` was released in 2008 by Meredith Books, and was highly praised by the Associated Press.
