"Sometimes The Hardest Year Turns Out To Be The Best"

Cheryl and her husband have been through a lot in their lives as parents. Their son, Joshua, suffered from atrial septal defect, a severe congenital heart condition that required a major operation, at the age of 6.

No matter how scared he was, Joshua kept going strong with his mantra, "brave conquers fear." Before heading for his surgery, his friends surprised him with a gift, a T-shirt with his phrase, "brave conquers fear," which was printed with his handwriting.

As Joshua was going into surgery, Cheryl and the rest of her family wore their brave conquers fear T-shirts. And while he was recovering from surgery, the family was preparing to welcome a new member to their family.
