Thirty-eight years old Angela Sun is an American journalist, sportscaster, television presenter, and also a documentary filmmaker. She was born on October 19, 1979, in Northern California in the United States. She is an American national and belongs to Asian and American ethnicity. She grew up in Northern California.

Sun completed her high school from Monta Vista High School in Cupertino. She is an alumna of the University of California. She graduated from there and earned degrees in Sociology and Communications. While she was in high school and college, she competed in pro-am surf events and was also a team rider for Loaded Boards. She was sponsored by Roxy, Vans, Billabong, Oakley, and Reef.

Being in sports background helped her in her career too. It led her to host for EXTV, LG Action Sports Championships and ASP Surfing World Tour. Sun was hired as a correspondent for Fox Sports Net`s 54321 in 2003. She went on to report for FSN West`s show called Dig! Volleyball Magazine.

Sun joined the luxury lifestyle news magazine called LXTV First Look in 2008 which aired nationally on NBC. She was nominated for an Emmy award for her work on the show 1st Look in the year 2011. Besides LXTV, Sun also hosted the show titled Inner View and MTV Iggy on the newly launched global channel of MTV Networks.

In 2009, Sun became started anchoring for The Court Report on the Tennis Channel. She hosted The Yahoo Sports Minute since 2010.  She took over the show from former host Ashley Russell, and covered the Winter Olympics in 2010 hosted in Vancouver for Yahoo!Sports. 

In the summer of 2012 Sun joined co-hosts Matt Iseman and Olympic Gold medalist Jonny Moseley for the fourth season of American Ninja Warrior on NBC and G4TV. On July 18 of the year 2014, Sun hosted The Yahoo Sports Minute for the final time.

She was the first female from Asian American ethnic group on-camera personality to appear on Fox Sports, Tennis Channel, Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.

Sun has also appeared in a movie. Sun is seen opposite to Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker in the 2008 film called Street King.

Sun has also been a writer as well, and she contributes as a travel writer for wandermelon.com.
