The famed media name, Spero Dedes, always dreamt of becoming a sportscaster, but his hard-working father was skeptical of his broadcasting degree and asked him to pursue a technical subject of study.
However, Spero failed in gaining satisfactory grades in the subject which left him with the only subject of study, that was, Broadcasting. And further, there was no way his father could stop him as that was the only option left.
Soon after gaining his degree, Spero started actively working in the field of sportscasting. In 2004, Spero covered the Summer Olympics for NBC Sport and also served as a commentator for the College Basketball on CBS.
In 2005, Spero signed in as a play-to-play radio announcer for Los Angeles Lakers. This got him to the height of fame and made him one of the known names in the sector within no time.

Later, from 2006 to 2011, Spero also served for the NFL Network as a studio host and play-to-play announcer.

Born on 27 February 1979, the famous sports journalist, Spero Dedes, is 40 years of age as of now. The Paramus, New Jersey-born sports announcer has some Greek roots; however, he holds an American nationality.
When it comes to his education, the man attended Paramus High School for his early education. Later, for his further education, he went to Fordham University in New York and graduated with a degree in Broadcasting, in 2001.
Although Spero’s father was not in favor of his Broadcasting degree and wanted him to pursue Business Management, Spero’s flunking in basic maths didn’t let him continue with his Business Management degree.
Thus, his passion for journalism was all Spero was left with. Hence, he took up Broadcasting for his university degree.

Despite all these years of his famous image, Spero has never revealed anything about his current personal life.
