Rita's Muslim family got targeted by the repressive Islamic regime; however, in 1984 they were accepted by Australia as refugees. So, they lived in Melbourne without any money or assets.

Rita, who only knew two words of English, went to a local primary school at the age of 8. After studying, she started working in banks while attending Monash University, but she did not complete her Bachelor of Business Finance degree.

Instead, she joined Australian Young Labor and volunteered in the 1996 election campaign. There she served as a personal banker at Colonial Mutual and was the youngest branch manager in the company's history.

Rita's Career

Initially, Rita wrote for the daily newspaper mX. However, in 2007, she became the regular guest on the AM sports radio station SEN.

From September 2007, Rita started working for the Herald Sun, published by the Herald and Weekly Times (HWT).

Rita's career in journalism gets her to the places where she has to deal with the number of controversies.

One of those has been her slamming of the Australian basketballer Ben Simmons during June 2019.

Rita publically hit out at Ben for his false claims against racism. Ben had said that he was not allowed to enter inside Melbourne's Crown Casino due to racial profiling.

However, the real reason for his entry denial was his wearing of camouflage pants that were not allowed in the casino.

Rita has claimed that there are real racism stories in Australia. However, these kinds of fake are ruining the possibilities for the real ones to get enough recognition.

Rita Panahi Married With Husband?

Rita Panahi’s personal life is beyond the reach of anyone as she has guarded her personal aspect and relationships under the radar.

Despite being the famous columnist, her fans are still deprived of being acknowledged about her private matter as she does not prefer to discuss them in public.

Even no news of her getting married and having a partner in her life has ever surfaced out in the media.

The only thing known about her personal life is that Rita, at the age of 31, left her banking job to become a mother. Her decision to become a single parent was her deliberate choice.

Rita never leaves the opportunity to post about her 12-year-old son, Hunter Panahi, in her social media pages.

Her son has grown up to become a handsome young child, who follows the professional footsteps of his mother.

No doubt, Rita is already very proud of her son, who is out-spoken, confident and moreover, sincere.
