While actress Marin and theatre artist Scott were working together, starring in a production of Troilus and Cressida, after a heated argument, they got into a physical fight that ended with Shepherd giving her a tight slap leaving her black-eyed at their apartment. The next morning, when the actress reached the show with a black eye, some fellow actors were offended and wanted him to get out from the show. Whereas, the production team cared about their reputation and asked Marin to stay silent and continue her work until the show's completion.
