His mother Linda Marie Newton was an employee of Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas and his father was in the military. Perhaps, his father did not want Wayne to be raised as a military brat so when he was at the young age he moved to Orlando, Florida to live with his grandmother Valerie Petersen and aunt. Being bought up by his grandmother he referred to his grandmother as a mom. When he was 18 years old he underwent surgery in 2012 to fix his knee which was hurt.

He got the chance to become a father as his wife gave birth to their daughter named Maile Masako Brady on 3 February 2003.

Sadly, nothing stood in the way of his second divorce and went their separate ways finalizing the divorce on 14 April 2008. After his divorce, there was a rumor that he was dating Rozanda Thomas, TLC star. He was spotted holding hands with her but he stated that she is just a good friend and besides friendship there is nothing.
